Record Breaking Distance

Today is a historic day for me. Since moving in about 10 years ago, I, occasionally ... once in a blue moon, jog! That's right, I do jog when I'm in the mooooood, ok!

But today ... today was different. Today I jogged for a record breaking distance of at least 1.5km! Woo hoo! Of course, in between, I slowed down to catch my breath. But I surprised myself to run such a distance. Hey, you ever see a zombie with a bulging belly run? Not pretty, I must say.

Initially, I just wanted to walk but after about 20m, I told myself that since I'm already out walking, I might as well jog a little and I can stop when I don't feel like running. While running, I keep having the small little talk with myself. Told myself to run a little further. Just another 100m ... and another 100m and next thing I know I did my record breaking distance! Yay!

Below is the surrounding of my house, downloaded from the Google Earth. The yellow lines are my running distance, in between the lines, I walked.

Impressive eh.... if only I can "record break" every time I put myself to do something.

  1. It is great to hear that you are keeping in shape. As many mentioned, don't give up easily and try harder, soon you'll reach your destination.

  3. You go! I wish I could run any distance :P I can kind of make it look like I'm jogging but I am just not made to move quickly...so I'll stick to speed walking. Keep it up *jealous*

  4. David, thanks for the advice. i hope to reach them easily without any sort of resistance asap ... my wish la!

ACT, I recently tried the same trick again but it doesn't work. But I still manage to walk almost the same distance.

Lauren, speed walking is as good exercise as jogging! Like the Reds says, You'll never walk alone ... am not a Liverpool fan though!
